Overview of the program
This grant is funded by the US Department of State-Partners of the Americas and started on March 1, 2024 and will finish on August 30, 2024. A partnership between Scientific Caribbean Foundation, Inc., lead organization, and the Partners of the Americas Chapters from Puerto Rico, Nicaragua and Honduras was formed to implement the grant.
Objectives of the program

The objective of the grant is to implement the Virtual 2024 Saturday Research Academy, a 16 weeks Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) program for groups of K-14 students from Nicaragua, Honduras and Puerto Rico. The virtual program meets on Saturdays, where research mentors guide the participants in STEM research projects. Each participant will have a research project and will develop a competitive research poster that will be presented, virtually, on July 20, 2024 at the Virtual 2024 Saturday Research Academy Symposium.
