Administration of Arecibo Observatory

Introduction 

A partnership was established in early 2010 between Stanford Research International (SRI), Universities Space Research Association (USRA) and Universidad Metropolitana (UMET) to write a proposal for the Administration of the Arecibo Observatory.  The proposal was funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), as the NSF Award AST-11009368 (2011-2016).  Dr. Juan F. Arratia was one of the authors of the proposal and was the Deputy Director of Arecibo Observatory for the period of the grant.
